Alpha Chat is the messaging product Alpha Efficiency is building for its own team and for the communities it runs. It handles direct messages, group conversations, channels and threads, with read status and pinned messages. A Mac app is in development, and the plan is for Alpha Chat to appear inside Communities too.
The problem it solves
A team that also runs a community ends up in two chat tools, with two sets of accounts and history that never meets. Alpha Chat is being built so the same way of talking works in both places.
What it's built to do
Alpha Chat uses the same chat engine as Communities. People get direct messages, groups and channels, with threads for side conversations. The plan is a standalone app for teams, plus a simpler version built into each community.
Where it stands
In developmentAlpha Chat is in development. Team chat is running inside Alpha Efficiency while we test it, and the Mac app is a working build that hasn't been released. Customer access through AlphaCloud workspaces is still being validated.
